No good coach would want to go there. You’ll always be a shadow and set up to fail, especially in a market as small as Tuscaloosa.

Yeah, I was being serious. If things bottom out with DeBoer he wouldn't be the worst guy to look at. Key has done a fantastic job turning GT around. They hit rock bottom under Coach Waffle House.

Freeze also wasn’t handed a Saban recruited roster full of 5 stars….he was left with a talent depleted roster started by Gus failing to recruit in the trenches then compounded by Harsin failing to recruit….at all.
Brent Key is a solid, solid coach…he’s made GT relevant which is a feat in itself. He’ll get his shot at upper level programs soon.

I think Alabama is stuck with him. Some times a coach needs some coaching. Light a fire under his arse and show him how SEC coaches have passion and show it. Surely he knows football or he wouldn't be where he is. It's a personality thing and nonchalant approach to this war every week in the SEC we call football.
