Florida’s defense is overrated

Florida ranks #2 nationally in team sacks (26)
(4.33 per game)
21 of 26 sacks were against:
- Towson (4)
- UT Martin (5)
- Miami (10)
- Tennessee’s backups (2)
Miami ranks #126 of 130 in sacks allowed.
Virginia Tech had 7 sacks vs Miami (10 on the year)
Florida leads the nation in interceptions (12)
Let’s break that down:
- Bo Nix: 3 interceptions (true freshmen)
- Sawyer Smith: 3 interceptions (UK backup)
- Jarrett Guarantano: 2 interceptions (bad)
- Tom Flacco: 2 interceptions (Towson)
- John Bachus: 1 interception (UTM, freshmen)
- Brian Mauer: 1 interception (UT backup)

To be fair, very similar arguments can be made in regards to LSU's offense and their level of competition.

That argument can be made for Bama as well and almost every team in college football.
These stats are pretty useless until at least half of the SEC schedule is over.

Take out the FCS team. LSU averages 52 ppg.
Your 4.33 sacks per game becomes 2.83.
(And it’s seems as though you failed to address 2 other points I mentioned: backups and true freshmen)

I think both teams are legit on their dominant side of the ball. So I wouldn't expect Burrow to throw for 400 plus and 5 tds this game, but I also wouldn't expect UF to get 5 sacks and 4 turnovers either. Burrow will probably be something like 25 of 40 for 280 yards and two to three tds with a pick. LSU wins by 14 or so.
