Aggies:
How do you feel about your kicking FG and punting?

Threads like these are the reason I am going to limit myself on SECr this season. My automatic response is to come on here and defend my Gators. But after seeing what I saw Saturday I have no defense. We are not a good football team, my inner homer tells me otherwise, but I got really drunk Saturday and strangled him and threw him in the bottom of a lake.

I did this same thing six times last year

Kicking is a complete unknown as of right now. We lost the best kicker in CFB last year so there is going to be dropoff for sure. We actually have a highly touted kicker that we recruited but he has yet to kick in a game.

Punting is a concern. We have a guy that can boom the ball but he is not consistent and another guy who is consistent but he is average.

Needless to say, I dont feel great about STs and that could be the difference in the game if we cant punch it in the endzone.

Kicking is unknown. Our new kicker has plenty of leg but is completely new. Kicking is mostly mental so no idea how he does in real game situations. In the scrimmages he has been good from 40 yards in and missed from 50 or so but had plenty of leg. Randy Bullock was our Kicker last year and won the Groza so anyone will be a dropoff.

We do return our Punter from last year but he wasn't anything great. Typically a 40 yard punt but rarely over 45. We have a kid pushing him that can boom it well over 60 but he gets the shanks as well.

We do have the leading PR in the country returning in Dustin Harris and have always done well with KR because we have lots of speed. Trey Williams is our True Fish RB phenom and he won the "starting" KR job so it's hard to say. He did get chosen as KR in the Army AA game and is very fast and elusive but he is still a True Fish so who knows.

We have heard lots of good reports on the ST coach Brian Polian who came from Stanford and previously Notre Dame. They also have spent a lot more practice time on ST than under Sherman so we will have to see if that brings results.

As bad as the Gators offense is, I think their defense is good enough for them to beat A&M.

Maybe. Bowling Green was able to move the ball quite effectively early against the Florida D. The real difference was team depth. Florida shut it down in the 4th though.

Look, we all know that Florida is down right now. It happens. They have that coach from the Big 12 that doesn't know what he is doing.

When Florida is back up, they will obliterate you. If you can beat them now, enjoy it. But, you need to shut up about it. They have long memories and the next time around, it won't be pretty.

LSU still owes Florida about 8-12 more colossal beat downs before we are anywhere close to settling scores, but you won't hear us running them down or talking smack. Either they are great or they are the sleeping giant.

The thing about the SEC is that if one power goes down, you have 2-3 others that step in and fill the void. It isn't about one team. It is about the whole.

Couldn't say it better than myself. I can truly see us losing to A&M and Muschamp losing the team.

Sure- but I also remember things like that 58-3 pummeling those guys pinned on our Tigers when we were the 80lb weaklings of the league, too (granted- they were under "different mgmt" back then). I guess what I'm saying in this rambling mess of a post is if they happen to get popped once in a while, I won't be that appalled.

Our inner homer is Dave South...and I can't understand a thing he's saying half the time.

Cool

In all honesty, should be an interesting game, though.

Florida doomed? No way.

Just before the Gator team leaves the locker room, coach Boom will play the greatest inspirational speech of all time.

Mash here to be inspired.
