If we beat Georgia and Mullen finally wakes up and makes Richardson the starter we will be fine going into next season.

Muffin should be standing next to O in the unemployment line. Not sure why he’s not catching much heat

If Mullen somehow was crazy enough to keep Jones starting this whole season and Richardson transferred I think we would go like 8-4 next season and Mullen would be fired. If Richardson is the starter next season I think we are in the SECCG.

If kentucky keeps their QB and OC in the offseason, i think they can push any team in the east next year.
It wont be a gimme for either georgia or florida.

He has done well considering the recruiting. Curious if they can avoid a loss to Miss State or Tennessee this season.
My guess is KY will fall short again but they are competitive now. With the recent years recruiting I would have Georgia the slight favorite going into next season but a QB can make a really big difference.

Honest questions.
1. Mullen refused to make Trask his starter over Franks when it was obvious Franks did not have "it". What makes you think he will change from Jones to Richardson?
2. Do you guys (Florida fans) still think of Mullen as a QB whisperer?
3. Do you guys (Florida fans) still think of Mullen as a great game day coach?

First year QB/OC.
Oc is legit (if you think the rams offense is good).
QB has more tools than kyle trask (tools alone dont make an nfl qb... but an nfl mind/OC can definitely help).
Next year could be shocking for the east.

1. Unless he has really tuned out everything he has to know what the situation is at QB now and he did turn it over to Richardson in the LSU game when Jones was struggling (more than he did with Franks/Trask).
2. Mullen does great with QBs that have good field awareness but is stubborn wanting to play experience over ability.
3. I think of him as a great schemer of plays. He is real good at hitting weaknesses when he has the players to execute. He has done some things that make you scratch your head however and needs to find a new DC.

Fair enough. Thanks for answering.

Mullens ego won’t allow him to change QBs because it means he was wrong.
State in 2013 is an example when we started Tyler Russell but had Dak on the bench. Russell gets hurt in egg bowl and Dak comes in and leads a comeback win. It was obvious we would have done better all year had we just started Dak. And a year of experience under Daks belt we likely do even better in 2014, maybe don’t lose by 5 to Bama or to OM

That's been my thinking, too.
I was wondering how Florida was thinking at this point. many seem to be tired of Mullen. It's his 4th season and they took a step back with "his" players. In fairness Kirby is in his 6th season and we have just now built enough depth to compete at a high enough level.

With the way UF has been recruiting that kinda depth is a pipe dream. He's building a team closer to UT or UK than Bama or UGA.

Which coach were you thinking that didn't have one of these?
And you can pull him from any era ever in the history of football.

Just imagine if you guys didn't have Mullen. Probably have a ship already. He was just bringing your program down.
