He was the most overhyped HC of all time.

Better hope he does not sleep with any big time sugar daddy’s wives...he likes to do that occasionally.

Would be a great hire. He was top 10 in total defense here 5/6 seasons (slipped to #42 in 2007 because we replaced a shitload of starters on D).

He was our DC before Floridas so I'll chime in. He inherited a steaming pile of shite while here with Holtz. He turned said pile of shite into the strength of the whole team. He's a take no prisoners, never back down kind of Mo Fo. And he can recruit his arse off. Take a look at who he was responsible for bringing to Florida. Hint, it wasn't all defensive guys either.

With that said, the games changed so he'll need to as well. But between he and Ed O on the sideline, thats a whole lot of "come at me bro". Oh and that story about him banging out some boosters wife. I 100% believe it, he use to knock down the players moms at football camps in SC. And I have 0 problems with it.

Game has really passed him by the last few years. Defenses haven’t been very good lately.

Good memories about Charlie in Gainesville. We always had a good D. He did good a Louisville with a good QB and then got screwed by the “deep state” at TEXAS. That may have messed him up and hasn’t recovered yet.

Idk. I am confident that if aranda leave, coach O and Woodward will find a very good replacement to be our DC at LSU. Whoever it will be will have a loaded roster so work with and LSU will always have elite talent and recruiting will be very easy for whoever it is. Strong is a good candidate if aranda leaves but coach O will find a great coach to be on his staff. He is an easy man to work with and work for. Coaches love working with him and players love playing for him. We comin' whether or not aranda is here or not lol. We are still LSU.

Charlie was great during his years at Louisville as HC. Ran a solid program and recruited well. Beat Florida in the Sugar Bowl with Teddy Bridgewater at QB. I thought the move to Texas was not a good fit for him, and have been shocked that he has not done well as USF, especially given his proven recruiting ties to Florida. Don't know what's happened to him in recent years. While he was at Louisville I honestly thought that he'd end up eventually as Florida's HC. Weird how these things play out sometimes...
