I was wondering the same. Also, why would Patterson be cleared, and not Jefferson?

Jefferson petitioned later than the QB. He should be eligible based on the cheating and misconduct of HC, why should he suffer?

In the past when the NCAA hands out probation, it will generally allow transfers.

If Patterson is cleared then Jefferson should be cleared.

I dont even wanna get into this, but you sound naive. You really think none of our starting players knew what Freeze was doing. Our cheating was evidentially the thing that got us Shea Patterson, but yea, he nor his brother on staff had any idea what was going on.

They were in different classes.

The NCAA ruled that Huge Freeze did not commit an infraction of the rules.

Yeah, when Patterson made this claim I literally lol'd irl.

Not to defend Ole Miss, but Patterson is stunningly full of shite.

Technically, he didn't personally pay any players or instruct any coaches to do so. But he did know about it and failed to report it, and then lied about it.

It hasn't posted anywhere officially, but everyone assumes he will play at this point.

Might want to check the part where he got a show cause.

Van wasn’t in the same class as Patterson. The 2nd Investigation hadn’t even begun according to the NCAA when Van signed. I’ve had my doubts about Van getting the waiver from the get-go. He left because of playing time and is trying to spin it on the NCAA investigation. Problem is his timeline doesn’t add up.
