Official Press Release

Florida has released plans for its $130-million facility upgrades that include stand alone football facility, new baseball field and renovations to the softball stadium.

$65 million for standalone football facility to be completed by 2021

$50 million for brand new baseball stadium

$11 million for upgrades to softball stadium

Well overdue and great news for the already superb UF athletic department

The football facility was much needed. Moving the baseball stadium to open up that space was huge and gives us such a better option.

The same group who designed Mercedes Benz Stadium and other top stadiums and facilities in the country is in charge of architecture and design for the football facility

They made a deal with the ag school for some property next to the softball and lacrosse stadiums.

It seats a bit less but they put in boxes to get more revenue per seat.

UGA should have moved the track and field stadium and the baseball stadium, and used those areas to expand the football facilities. The indoor practice facility should have been built right where the track and field stadium is. Foley Field is land locked, so there isn't much you can do to expand facilities.

UGA will probably have the worst baseball facilities in the conference, or close to the bottom.
