Myself being Florida-centric, I would be remiss not to nominate the Georgia Bulldogs. Coming to us out of Athens, Ga., playing football since 1892, weighing in at approximately (Avg English Bulldog weight) 50 pounds, fighting out of the red corner!

They produced the most epic of off-season threads (As the Swamp Burns) detailing the nefarious goings on of their hated rival, the damn dirty Gators. Special mention to Gruvendawg, DawgsLife and djsdawg for their mind boggling number of posts to keep the thread relevant.

Also very consistent posting throughout the summer with numerous off-season topics like the prettiest Governor's mansions and state capitol buildings, special mention to RatRodDawg. Also shout out to BHMKyle and his statistical wizardry.

The floor is open. Do we have any other nominees? Is Georgia going to runaway with this or are there any othe worthy candidates?

Nomination process is closed. Please vote for one of the following:
Georgia 13
Florida 13
LSU 7
A&M 1
Alabama 1
State 2
Mizzou 1

FYI you can only vote once. If it is close we can have an East and West team meet up for a championship. Maybe have a one thread post off between the schools. I am always up for suggestions. Kind of like a wrap battle.

Voting is closed. Florida and Georgia have tied for the off-season championship.

Also I am invoking the OP rule which I just made up that you cannot nominate your own fanbase. Sorry LSU.

1-0 and number one offense in the SEC right now. Thank you.

Is this a nomination for the Mighty Gators as off season champs?

With hat in hand, I will graciously accept your nomination on behalf of the Gator nation.

Not quite going the way you thought it would, is it?

Can we nominate based on a thread on their own board?

Florida has a thread in which playoffs were mentioned several times by several different posters.

Well I read a thread on the Georgia board titled, "Does Your Wife Beat you?" So what is your point?

And I pretty much expected everyone to be done with off-season anything, but this is a serious award and you guys have put in the work and should be recognized. It is very tongue in cheek, but you guys kept the pressure on us all summer. So while I am giving you crap, I am also recognizing good work.

Haha, he really does except the hair. And the fact that he is a pretty tough QB.
