Not Matt I know but I’m gonna answer anyway, We don’t have a better roster on paper but neither did Texas or LSU. We have more depth in the secondary this year and a better coach. You’re gonna lose in Jacksonville.

But that doesn't mean that I don't think the Gators will still find a way. I do believe that we have a better coaching staff.

-LSU was in their stadium which is a far different dynamic
-That was arguably the best game LSU played all season, and arguably our worst
-The sugar bowl, same with bama vs utah and auburn vs ucf and countless hundreds of other examples, can be chalked up to the fact we couldn't be less interested in being there after our ultimate goal ended in the previous game. Combine that with the fact texas hadn't been to a game of that magnitude in a long time and they clearly just wanted it more
-Both texas and lsu had better QBs than yours
-Grantham is not very good, and especially so against uga. Every game he's coached against us (with louisville, MSU, and UF) he has not fared very well.
There have been 2 consistent reasons for our struggles over hte past 2 years; sometimes baffling playcalls from Chaney and underwhelming DL play. The latter very well may still be at play but the former isn't here any more. There really isn't any tangible, solid reason you can point to to suggest UF will win this seaoson.

Do I think Florida is on the right track? Yes. You are much better than you were 2-3 years ago.

It's possible. Florida has beaten Georgia in the past when Georgia had the better roster. It happens all the time in college football, so yes. It is possible.

Ours certainly does recruit better. I think you would have to agree with that. Who coaches better is unknown right now.

I am keeping up with UF because they have been a dumpster fire this offseason and it has been hilarious. The schadenfreude is real.

I actually do have a bunch of people over to watch the game every year. A couple of Florida fans come, too. We all try to keep it fun and don't rub it in or anything. (Which is probably a good thing) The biggest thing we do is whoop when our team does something good.
Then we try to calm down quickly out of respect for the other fans there.

Hard to say, really. I actually liked Chaney and thought he did a good job, but there were a few times where he left me scratching my head.

Chaney didn't ever do anything that made me think he was exceptional but he was at least consistent for the most part.
All I hope for is that Coley is as consistent with maybe a little more upside for creativity and getting the TE position more involved
