Good lord.... What is the ultimate goal in CFB??? To win a NATIONAL title! I know that is all you can hang your hat on is SEC titles. But like I said Richts and Kirby are the same. Won ZERO titles.
Same as Mullen
So, wasn't the question "What has Smart accomplished that Mullen has not?"
I answered it. Whether you want to admit it or not, Smart has played for a National Championship, made the playoffs and won the SEC. He has also won his division twice, which is another thing Mullen has not done.
Don't ask the question unless you want to hear the answer.

UF has a higher ranking in the subjectively contrived US News rankings, UGA objectively has higher standardized test scores and GPA (1400 SAT v. 1388 SAT). Draw from that what you wish...

I remember you making one for dawgslife, and now you have one for me. It’s both impressive and pathetic at the same time.

Uhhhhh no I didn't ask that question....
Smart has won ZERO title (meaning national titles) just like Richt. The moral national title talk is coming from UGA fans bragging about the sec and playoff win. Guess what slick, that doesn't mean they won a title. Damn its been so long since UGA has won one they you all think a SEC and playoff win is one. :rotflmao:

I thought Mullen would recruit better than this. I knew he wasn't elite, but I thought he'd be at the Mark Richt level given a talent rich state like Florida. Honestly, it's hard to see much difference between him and his predecessor on that front at this time.
Miami rents a stadium to play in and recruits better.
FSU is terrible and recruits better.
UF wins ten games and still can't get it going.
I think Mullen is a good, not great, coach. But where does this myth come from that he's some kinda in game Einstien- King of the halftime adjustments, offensive innovator?
In two games vs. Smart and UGA he's lost by 19 and 28 points. Both games the score differential was worse in the second half.
He lost two games last year when he had the more talented roster. Heck, vs. Mizzou he couldn't even keep it close. His ceiling is Mark Richt and the only time Richt had someone of Kirby's caliber as a recruiter in the division was when Meyer was at UF. That didn't turn out well for UGA.

Fair points on recruiting...The KY loss was early and the team took it for granted. The Mizz loss was a hangover loss from the UGA loss. I think UF was damaged from the previous staff. I said it will take 3 years for UF to get back in the good.
He turned them around on offense last year. I expect that to continue. He def needs to hire a elite recruiting coordinator and a few more guys in the recruiting office.
It is aggravating losing out on recruits that we should close on no doubt. But time will tell.

Mullen can't adapt. He will never win a natty because he can't coordinate a passing game and Grantham reminds me of playing my best friend in NCAA football. All out blitz on 3rd down. every time. works pretty well until you watch film on him. then it is 3rd and Grantham.
The recruiting world has caught on to his schtick. None of the prominent HS coaches want him talking to their players.

Looks like you were glad to see him go. You seem like a happy guy with no grudge.

I would be embarrassed to be a Florida fan... taking has beens from Mississippi State.

Sorry to dispute your facts but he already has a natty at Florida running the offense.
Lesser talent at MSU limited his coaching philosophy and tied his hands in the passing game.

Florida actually sent him there, let him develop and then took him back from an inferior program.

If he were my coach, I'd want to put him in an Amazon box and send him back

as a head coach he will never win a natty because he can't adapt like i said before and he can't recruit like Urban.
The game has changed in the last 10 years. obviously you and the entire UF fanbase can't see this. The rest of the world can.
