20. Chad Morris, Arkansas (2-10)
quote:

2019 Expectation: Get to six wins. Go bowling, crank up the offense, and be more competitive. The schedule is easy enough to do just that.

19. Steve Campbell, South Alabama (3-9)
18. Kevin Sumlin, Arizona (5-7)
17. Mike Bloomgren, Rice (2-11)
16. Chip Kelly, UCLA (3-9)
15. Willie Taggart, Florida State (5-7)
14. Jonathan Smith, Oregon State (2-10)
13. Dana Dimel, UTEP (1-11)
12. Sonny Dykes, SMU (5-7)
11. Sean Lewis, Kent State (2-10)
10. Jeremy Pruitt, Tennessee (5-7)
quote:

2019 Expectation: Start to look the part. The SEC East title is a long way off, but knock off a big boy or two, and win eight games.

9. Scott Frost, Nebraska (4-8)
8. Herm Edwards, Arizona State (7-6)
7. Mario Cristobal, Oregon (9-5)
6. Billy Napier, Louisiana (7-7)
5. Chad Lunsford, Georgia Southern (10-3)
4. Joe Moorhead, Mississippi State (8-5)
quote:

2019 Expectation: More O, not quite as much D, and while this might not seem like a big deal, another eight-win season and a bowl appearance.

3. Josh Heupel, UCF (12-1)
2. Jimbo Fisher, Texas A&M (9-4)
quote:

2019 Expectation: Yeah, this season showed that really, really big things should be coming under Fisher. Winning the SEC West is a bit too ambitious, but double-digit wins has to be the goal.

1. Dan Mullen, Florida (10-3)
quote:

2019 Expectation: Win the SEC East title. It’s still Georgia’s division for the taking, but one victory in Jacksonville changes all of that. This might still be around the fourth-best team going in the conference right now, but now the pressure is on.

Hard to argue with Dan Mullen or Jimbo Fisher. I am a little surprised Pruitt wasn't a little higher. Tennessee just seemed to have a tougher attitude this year.

Had we not been blown out our last two games by Missouri and (sigh) Vanderbilt, Pruitt would have been top 5. I think 10th is a pretty generous ranking considering we ended the season on a sour note.

But, two Top 25 wins in one season is something we haven't done since I can remember.

Good hire. I think he will make UT similar to MsState the last few Mullen years. Competitive team in the 8-10 win range.

quote:

Joe Lesshead
If you can’t win 10 games with the team he had, you’re beans.

Jimbop Fishner
Kevin Sumlin averaged 8.5 wins per season at Texas A&M. Jimbop got a $75M contract to win 9 games. Need I say more?

quote:

Dan Mullen
Will challenge for the East every year. I’ll be surprised if he has many seasons with less than nine wins.

Sumlin also never beat LSU. Jimbo did that in year one.

Moorhead underachieved for the talent he had.

I had 6-6 with an outside chance of 7-5.

Not sur3 why you don’t believe it?
There’s an entire predictions thread.
I actually think I predicted 7-5.

I’d like to think 9-3.
But in reality, we’ll probably finish 8-4.
2020 has always been the turn-around year.

9-3 seems about as good as we can really think is possible. 8-4 seems like the most likely, but 7-5 wouldn't shock me either. 2020 is when 10+ becomes likely imo.

So. To be clear. If your prediction is correct and A&M goes 8-4... with a $7.5M per year contract.... Jimbop will be averaging 8.5 wins per season.

We’re in this for the long haul.
It’s about far more than W/L records after two seasons (playing with a previous cosch’s players).
And yes, Fisher is banking.
Time will tell how it works out.
