It seems like it has been for us over the last several years, minus the BCS game.

Just a built-in excuse but the truth is LSU/Bama aren't very far apart.

I know it's hard to accept but neither team has to have any extra motivation for this game.

Bama has had the upper hand on the last 2, so congrats.

He's said they practice a week for every opponent in the offseason, starting with the last opponent and working towards the first. This way, the kids aren't seeing something and practicing something for the first time in the fall.

We're talking about a guy that preaches process, and practices what he preaches. You're implying Saban works on a team towards the end of the schedule more than the others, which implies he's looking ahead and giving the team the ok to look ahead.

I believe it was lsu that had offseason shirts printed with a crimson script A on them

Please. The red people in the stands in the last two minutes on Nov. 3 were scared to death.
One more first down, or even if we make that FG and it's 20-14, you lose.
How ITF is THAT "a 100 miles" ??????????
Miles is 3-4 vs Saban, and has had a chance to win all but one. "100 miles?" Riiiiiiight

Could the same thing not be said for Alabama?

Alabama has won 3 national championships since lsu's last one. If it helps you sleep at night to know you were "close" then do whatever it takes

In all honesty Saban will probably be more concerned about VT, what with them being the first game of the season and all. I'm not saying that A&M and LSU aren't off his radar-because they are. I'm just saying that he takes the season one game at a time. I just hope everybody else doesn't overlook VT in their preparation for A&M.

Smartest answer...LSU shouldn't be overlooking TCU either, they're stingy...

Georgia shouldn't be overlooking the road game at Clemson...

And Florida shouldn't be overlooking...nevermind, I think they start out with 3 byes

Alabama is the only team keeping LSU from National Titles...there hasn't been a vast difference between the two. Alabama didn't even win the SEC in 2011...LSU did

Texas A&M beat Bama, and Georgia nearly beat them last year...A&M, LSU, and Georgia ALL would have smoked Notre Dame in the Championship. Florida wasn't even given a shot at the National Championship last year...

The top of the SEC has never been more competitive...no one is light years above the other at the top

One team gets favorable scheduling and mulligans. One doesn't. Doesn't mean the two teams aren't close. Funny how much bama fans love tainted titles.

A lot of people nationally considered our 2009 schedule, and this is post season, to have been the toughest that year. We went 14-0.

We did NOT get a mulligan. The fact of the matter is people voted between us and OKST for who was the better team. The eye test proved that far and away it was Alabama. The fact that LSU was already seeded into the BCSCG had nothing to do with us getting selected, and it shouldn't have been held against us just because we had already played you. The BCS is supposed to seed the two best teams no matter what the circumstances.

As for this past season, fact of the matter is there are a lot of 1 loss championship teams in history, and a lot of them got there because someone lost late in the game.

So whine, bitch, and moan like little children all ya want, everyone else in the country is laughing at you.

I wish they'd move the GD office to Baton Rouge man. I really do, just so that would go away.

Not true at all.

In 2008 you lost 4 other games besides the Alabama game.

In 2009 you lost 3 other games besides the Alabama game.

In 2010 you beat us but lost to Auburn and Arkansas.

In 2011 Alabama kept you from winning a national title.

In 2012 you lost 2 other games besides the Alabama game.

If you played Alabama like you play most of your other opponents during the regular season you'd get blown out every time. Les gets his team motivated and playing to their full potential for that game though.
