mizzou got carved up in the 1st half, of the first game of the season. Mizzou has a bad defense, but that badly of a defense was a early season fluke/jitters.
Jitters against a FCS team that won 5 games over the previous 2 seasons....how many of those 5 wins were against Division II opponents?

Has anyone talked about the fact that during the first half of the SC/NC State game Saturday ... there were no headsets, no communication with the box in the sky?
That's why you witnessed such a major difference in the second half.
We take for granted the eyes in the sky but, when they are not there, the results without them show.

There will not be much defense. Whichever offense gets tired first loses.

Mizzou returns 10 starters from last years O that put up points, why would this year be different against easier competition?
EDIT: Mizzou returns 10 starters on O from last years 4-8 team. The difference? when you played a non major school last year, Delaware, the score was 79-0. This year it was 72-43.

Another point that hasn't been made yet, is that the headsets weren't working during the first 1/2 for SC vs NCSU. After the coms problems were resolved, SC's defense was able to make the appropriate adjustments. Over 2/3's of State's yards were in the 1st half (1st half 343 2nd half 161 total 504).
Just a overlooked fact that folks just looking at the stat line might miss.

First one to 60 wins in a close game.

Dont have time to read this thread, working. Honestly its a toss up, and reluctantly a slight edge to Scar. Our defense is horrendous and will continue to be until Odom proves this wrong.

South Carolina.
Boom is well known as a defensive mastermind. He may not be showing it yet at USC, but he will have something in place to slow down Mizzou enough. Considering Mizzou doesn't even try to play defense, South Carolina only needs a few stops to win the game.
Carolina probably won't even punt the ball once. Missouri sucks donkey cock
