“This is a really smart coach and I like his demeanor. We've talked to him five or six times. He’s a straight shooter. He’s an inspirational coach and high character.

But ultimately we’re talking Auburn here.”

Harsin is going to be the Pat Dye 2.0.

Lets check back in 2 years.

Or he could be Doug Barfield 2.0

Pat Dye

Coached under Bear.

Harsin is an old Boise St QB who has replaced Malzahn in the past, Arkansas St(9-3) when Gus took the Auburn job. The following year, Arkansas St went 7-5, but Boise St decided to pick him up after Peterson took the Washington job anyway.

He then went on to produce worse results for Boise St over the next few years and most Boise St fans were ready for him to go, but being a former QB it was a bit wishy washy. The results certainly weren't what Boise St was accustomed to.

And now he's being hired by Auburn to follow Gus. If he somehow improves Auburn, it will be the first time in his career that he has done so. Thus far he hasn't even been able to maintain the previous level of success.

It is true. Boise St went from BCS Buster and top10 team to barely making the top25 in their best years under Harsin.

Direct your anger at your AD, not me. I didn't hire him.

The fact you are including his ONE year at Arkansas State tells me you won’t accept any reasonable explanation.

They were having 10 win seasons regularly. Your argument is bunk. But yes it's Boise st

Boise St was winning 12-14 games a year before Harsin.

How dare I mention his actual records!

The coach prior to Gus was Hugh Freeze, who did better than both of them. So the pattern holds pretty well.

They were 8-5 the year before he took over. They were 12-2 his first year and consistently good. Plus, they changed conferences which makes things less comparable, so everything you stated is bullshite.
