Women's basketball is far bigger than men's baseball nationally. That should be your 3rd sport.

I think SEC standings would be a fun way to look at it. Obviously baseball would be overall.

Ok maybe Basketball because the regular season was completed. It’s absurd to include baseball and specially weighting it the same. Not a single conference game was even played. An RPI in basically in the preseason is weighed the same as the greatest college football season ever. GTFO

Why in the hell can we not have a good women's basketball team? It is beyond ridiculous how consistently bad we are in the sport.

I think it would be fair to say that there are five major sports in College today.

Men
Football
Basketball
Baseball

Women
Basketball
Softball

Those five get a lot of media attention, draw good crowds and quite a few people follow them. Especially the two women sports, they have grown exponentially over the recent years.

The idea of a "Big 3" sports is dumb. Football is king, and it isn't close. At best, it is the Big 1.5.

"football garners more revenue than the next 35 other sports combined at Division I schools. On average, football brings in $31.9 million in revenue, while men's basketball (the second-highest grossing sport) comes in a distant second at $8.1 million. For reference, women's basketball brings in $1.8 million, while rowing brings in just $932,646." 2019 Sports Revenue report

That said, he isn't wrong. Women's BB is a bigger money maker than baseball, nationally

That is a 2016 graph, but #s have likely risen consistently.

D1 SEC Hockey and lacrosse look to be good investments.

Being big in Kentucky, Tennessee, and Connecticut doesn't make it the third largest collegiate sport nationally.

Right. I’m wondering if women’s basketball makes more than baseball in the SEC.
