In this rivalry as Tech fans we know when you play in Athens you're down 14-0 out of the gate because it's coming. It is what it is but I thought our guys did a good job of overcoming it right up to the point where we went to a prevent defense with 5 minutes left up 27-13. It was the stupidest thing we could've done and as any Tech fan knows every time this season Santucci has gone prevent we have gotten torched.
While the refs no doubt played their part we only have ourselves to blame because if we don't go prevent there it's a different game. Maybe ugag finds another way to tie it but had we played them straight up and forced them to eat a ton of clock before scoring the game ends differently. Hell they couldn't score on us without help when we played them straight up the entire game up till that point so maybe they don't even score. It is what it is. Being a Tech fan has never been for the faint of heart.

Which is weird because almost all of your wins have come in Athens over the last 35 years and the reffing is rarely in our favor.
You have 2 wins in Atlanta since 1990. 2. But you have 5 in Athens and have come damn close to several others.
