Hell of a lot better than anyone we have currently, this gives us an outside shot at an SEC game.

Lets try coaching him and see what happens. Crazy I know.

Crazy thought but maybe that’s what they’re doing here. Instead of throwing him in to the fire when he’s clearly unprepared, they can actually coach him for a year and prep him for the next 3 years.

By the time Franks figures out WTF he is doing in the Briles offense the season will be over, and we'll still be 3-9.

Let KJ learn the system and in 2-3 years we might actually be relevant again.

You realIze we’ll only have Briles 2-3 years right? You’d waste 1 year of that with an unproven QB instead of a guy who has SEC experience? Sounds intelligent.

Reminds me of Trasks awesome story

Lol in what way?

I’m so excited we get to play him again

Kyle Trask has started ten games.

-He broke Chris Leak's consecutive completion record.

-He out threw Feleipe's career game high 5 times. (Or half of the game he started.)

-He has thrown more 300 yard games than all Gator QBs combined going back to 2009.

-He has the highest completion rate of any starting Gator QB in modern football (we'll say 30 years).

-He beat Chris Leak (2006) in every single passing category except for one: Passing Yards. Where he lost by a single yard. (He played two less games, started in 4 less and also split snaps.)

-He is the first Gator QB to throw for over 300 yards against LSU in Death Valley since Rex Grossman.

-First UF QB to throw for multiple passing touchdowns against Georgia since Tebow.

-Only Tim Tebow has a higher QBR than Trask. Trask beat out Rex and Leak.

He hadn't started since his Freshman year in high school and despite having little help with the running game and throwing into pure pass coverage, he still managed having a great season.

Just wait until he's at home and has the offense retooled around his strengths instead of having to jerryrig the offense in the fourth game of the season.

K.j isn't ready. He is way too raw and is a project. You are looking at a redshirt sophomore or redshirt junior when he starts. Starting him this year will be just another disaster and we need to stop the bleeding asap.

You’d waste 1 year

No. Im campaigning that instead of wasting that year on Fillipino Llama, we spend it developing a QB of the future.

I hope he has a great year! He was a team leader for us, and his teammates loved him.

I’m sorry but if you’d take KJ Jefferson over Feleipe Franks for a season I don’t know what to say to you.

I’m just confused why you think we can’t develop KJ while also starting Franks.

There’s this thing called practice, they aren’t just rolling the ball out on Saturdays. Tyler Wilson looked awful as a freshman against Texas and then didn’t play again behind Mallett until his junior year and was a completely different player.

Chad Kelly was a quarterback at your school once so spare me the preaching please and thank you

To be fair, it was pretty obvious that whatever Chad Kelly did at OM was obviously done while he was tweaking like a committed meth head. He was WORKING that jaw.

Because that is wasting time on Franks. Whoever the starter is will get most of the time and effort spent on them.

Id rather see that go to KJ than Fillipino

we could win 3-4 games with KJ or possibly go to a bowl with Franks and get 3 more weeks of practice to (drum roll) develop KJ!

How does a guy who can't read qualify as a grad transfer? He would have had to pass classes.

KJ needs to sit at least a year and see how a senior runs this offense. He’s just not ready mentally or physically. Not sure FF is either but time will tell. You’re insane if you don’t think adding a 5* QB is beneficial to the program.

We are literally the only SEC school that offered KJ as a QB.
