Could be cause he has zero interests in leaving LSU. Why go to Georgia or any other school when u can have. Chance at winning championships every year at LSU. I tell ya some people on here really make zero sense these days

That 40-9 record is pretty gaudy, but if you break it down, it’s 15-0 with Joe Brady, and 25-9 without. Going to be interesting to see what happens if LSU regresses to the mean now that Brady is gone. A 74% win percentage is by no means terrible, but will it be enough to satisfy the fan base?

Shouldn't they have at least waited a year to see how well he does without Aranda and Brady before giving him that big extension? Imagine if Auburn had given Chizik a $40 million contract after he won the NC in 2010. It would have taken them years to dig out of that hole.

The only reason to do this is if you're in danger of losing your coach to another school or the NFL. Orgeron is not exactly in demand.

Uh, Chizik got a raise one year after winning the title in 2010. It wasn't on this level but it put him in the top 8 highest paid coaches in the nation at the time.

While I like the guy and think he really is a great fit at LSU, I would be very careful making this assertion. If I had a nickel every time a coach has communicated in this way and then left for more money elsewhere eventually...
