Its true. For the most part, we have made terrible hires.

I think what is driving the optimism is we truly have alignment in leadership now between the BOR, President, and AD as demonstrated by this bold move. This would have been unfathomable for the previous regime at Texas. But make no mistake about it, these guys are most interested doing whatever they can to ensure Texas is winning at the highest level. We’ve started to see returns in Baseball and Basketball. Only a matter of time until they get it turned around in Football. It’s been said the coaches win games and administrations win championships.

I completely agree, the post was more about, damn they are complete assholes when they haven’t won a fricking thing since the coliseum was built in Rome, can you even imagine how bad things will get if they actually start to win again?

Texas isn't just any school they own oil leases and a couple of cash cows. Money is driving football even more so currently.
