Failing to replace Coach O immediately is going to cost LSU next season too.

The coaches don't care, the players don't care and the recruits won't care.
That is a dead program walking.
That is a dead program walking.

Eventually, absolutely.
Not sure this is going to shake out well for LSU this year or next, however.

It's not like the next hire would be coaching the rest of the way immediately. I don't see what difference it really makes.

It doesn't

Of course not, that's not the play here. This wasn't a quick fix decision. At this point you take whatever comes in the next 2 seasons and put the pieces into play for 3 years down the road. Most of us understand this and welcome the change as long as the right hire is made.

Like it or not, Orgeron is a discredited coach who knows he is going to be gone at the end of the season. Yet they have still left him in charge - demoralizing the coaches, players, and making it very tough to recruit. The fans will likely be restless as well, making home games worse and - again - negatively impacting recruiting.

Coaches? This entire coaching staff will basically be gone.
We'll probably lose some transfers and recruits, that's par for the course with any coaching change.
Not sure what option would've been any better.

It really is crazy to have your last two national title winning coaches being run off in embarrassment and the one before that whipping your arse almost annually at another school. This is not how a national title caliber school is supposed to operate.

I'm not disagreeing with you here. I definitely has the potential to blow up. I wonder if there's something else in play behind the scenes that forced that hand.

LSU self imposed sanctions by letting him still roam the sidelines. They just don't look like the same old LSU.

Absolutely. Why not let the coach in place finish the season before being dismissed, instead of destroying your program from within ?

The problem I'm having with this theory is that an interim coach has just as much of an opportunity to destroy the program from within as O does.
Not much of a difference.

Sometimes I wish you would be logical rather try to deflect everything. Yes assistant coaches looking to probably get jobs next year and maybe want to be head coaches in the future will intentionally damage LSU for what purpose exactly?

Lets be logical then.
Wouldn't that same reasoning apply to O?
I assume he wants to coach again.
