More accomplished than every other coach in the SEC not named Nick Saban.

Fact 2: Brian Kelly is 10 years younger than Nick Saban

Fact 3: Florida hired ULL’s coach

Fact 4: Jimbo is a colosal disappointment and just lost to Ole Miss’ and LSU worst coached in 30 years.

LMAO at any of you losers trolling this hire. Thanks

With ND talent..... What’s Jimbis record vs top 10 teams at Aggie? 2-8? That doesn’t factor in shitty LSU, Arkie, MSST, or OM teams that beat that arse LOL

It’s the nature of this board and part of the fun of it to trash each other and I actually love it. But honestly, when has there been a better day 1 hire in the last 30 years? I’m not talking about hindsight. I’m talking about blindly hiring a guy and hoping for the best. Urban was not an objectively better higher on day one (although Kelly May fail and prove him to be) and Nick was not a better hire on day one (although history will without a single solitary doubt prove him to be).

My point is when was the last time the SEC hired away a coach from a non-SEC school with Kelly’s level of overall achievement?

He is not more accomplished than Jimbo Fisher who has a National championship.

Fact 1 is not a fact at all.

Brian Kelly is great coach though. He is a X&O, program manager, and culture guy.

He will have disciplined teams. A LSU program with disciplined teams will compete yearly.

It's an impressive hire regardless of what anyone says. The cache to pull an accomplished coach from a blue blood is impressive.

He is probably exactly what LSU needs for consistent contending teams.

10/10.

Saban was 3 titles deep 10 years ago. Kelly has like 2 already, right?

He is not in Saban’s league yet and I don’t know that he can ever be. The thing is, it took 40 years for Saban to come along and be in Bear’s. My point is that dude is uber accomplished and still has at least 10 years to go at an elite blue blood program. Can he catch Saban? Probably not given his age but can he win 2 -4 titles in that time span hell yes. And over the next ten years, what will the SEC schools not named LSU, Bama, Florida (maybe) or Georgia (maybe) do? Jack shite.

Google. Jimbo has a strong, strong, argument because he had the national title. But throw out their best and their worst years and it’s Kelly by a mile. Throw out their two best and their worst years and it’s still Kelly by a mile.
