This is probably the biggest question mark. Even bigger than the coaching change. It could be the difference between 7-5 and a Music City Bowl, or 10-2 and a Sugar Bowl.

Pick any MSU game that's halfway through the 3rd quarter and there's a 90% chance that Fitz is 9/17 101 yards 1 td 1 int.

I'm with you on that. We'll see if the new system plus better WR's help Fitz. If he can't throw it any better it'll be 7-5 or 8-4.

Fitz got hurt in the first quarter and we still only lost by 3.

Fitz was not looking good in that game. Your backup played better.

This is my point about MSU.

Yes, MSU will be a tough team. I just think they will learn fast just how much development in QBs Mullen was doing. He was getting everything possible out of his QBs. I may be wrong. Moorehead may shock the hell out of everyone but until he proves himself in the SEC, I’m not buying into him.

Ugh. They got absolutely shellacked by AUG and UGA, lost to OM at home and went .500 and 4th in the SECw.

And you lost to Troy and let a deflated FL team almost beat you.

And how would you have done against Ole Miss if O was on his way out and you lost Etling early in the game?

You had two cupcakes last year prior to the MSU game. This year you have GA before and AL after.

LSU couldn't field a 2 deep on either line due to injuries last year against State. As the season went on, One team got better, the other went downhill.

I kind of agree with this except I don’t think State got worse. They just didn’t really get any better as the year went on while other teams did improve. They started out from a good spot but they just couldn’t get any better really than where they started.

In the last 26 games LSU is 23-3 vs Mississippi State.

That should help the tigers out immensely this year, bud.

They could return everyone from their 4-4 team, but they aren't a better team after losing Dan Mullen. Period.

But y'all kept Ed so, at worst, coaching is a draw for MSU.

I think people are forgetting Moorhead has played the position

I’m not gonna take anything away from State but if y’all roll into this game expecting the same result you’re going to be disappointed

Not to mention widely regarded as the best coordinator in the sport. Our offense will be just fine. Defense is more my concern due to coaching (not sold on Shoop). But our talent there will take care of the concern.

I expect LSU and MSU to both be pretty damn salty this year. The game will depend on who is healthy and who doesn't turn the ball over.

I wouldn't be totally shocked at any results between MSU, Bama, Auburn, and LSU this year. It's gonna take some breaks to get through. Good Luck to all and may the best team with a Bulldog mascot win!

MSU beats us every 10 years or so when we are overlooking them. Those years where they think they are good and are going to get us twice in a row, it never happens. Dak at home as a senior, oh yeah he'll kill LSU. Or not.

MSU likely won't beat us this year. But this year we'll probably lose to 2 or 3 of Arky, Ole Miss, A&M. It's just the way we do it this decade.

Quite a few of your brethren seem to think it will be a similar result
