Expand the playoffs (16). Shorten the season (10 games).

Move the bowls to preseason. Keep the tie ins and current structure for who goes to which bowls. Award bowls before playoffs the year before.

Your idea sucks and you should feel bad about it.

That seems like a horrible idea

I do not think so, I like the playoff format as it is today. 4 teams seems like a good idea. Besides, do they want to let all those SEC teams in after you have to beat them during the year and then in an SEC championship game. It is insane.

As opposed to three weeks of meaningless football played in front of half filled stadiums, broadcast at times no one is around to watch and when they are few care to watch?

And you're gonna make up for all that lost revenue, how?
Not to mention all the attorneys you're gonna have to hire once you get sued by ESPN,ABC and CBS over breach
of contract.

The schools are still making millions off those games with attendence and TV revenue

There are not 16 teams each year worthy of being in the playoffs.
