Yeah, that's simply not true. There was and still is a huge amount of butt hurt on the Tiger rant after UT & "Osama" embarrassed you guys this weekend.
I'll say this much. First, I don't believe that Tony is going anywhere. However, if someone were to get him, right now is the time. Anybody who wants him is going to have a very hard time getting him away from Knoxville after this off season. I've heard that UT is waiting until after the CWS to announce his new contract and major upgrades that are on the way to Lindsey Nelson. And they will be substantial.
He's already the most beloved coach in Knoxville and has a tremendous amount of support from the fan base, city and AD and it's growing by the day. He's both winning and recruiting at a high clip as is with some of the worst facilities in the conference. What do you think is going to happen if and when he gets all the upgrades he's asking for? He's discussed building a legacy. As much as your fan base doesn't want to admit it, a lot of coaches don't want to go walk in the footsteps of giants when they can become a giant in their own right.

Our insiders seemed to be more concerned about Ole Miss at this point. I would hate to lose him but man it would be hilarious if LSU hires Bianco and Ole Miss got Vitello

That's kinda how I feel about Wade even though he's never actually said that he would rather build something himself. He just strikes me as the kind of person that would rather build it than go maintain another program. I could definitely see Vitello wanting to do that as well. Maybe it comes down to how long the facility upgrades would take?
I have no clue what's going on with the LSU search. Yesterday I was 95% sure it was Bianco. Then last night we get news that Bianco may not have even been interviewed yet. Today we have one radio guy saying it could be a done deal this afternoon and another saying Bianco is all smoke.

I've rarely been to the Tiger Rant except for yesterday and today so that explains me not seeing it.
Not sure how LSU got "embarrassed," they were a sub .500 SEC team who was lucky to even be in a Super Regional. Many didn't think the team would even make the postseason.

LSU may have their guy already and just waiting to announce this weekend at the startup of the CWS.
If not by Saturday then the 10RC HC just might be a real candidate.

The job is Bianco's if he wants it. If not, then Godwin is the #2 target. Bianco is heading to Baton Rouge already for the "interview".

I think if it's Bianco or Godwin, then we'll know maybe today or in the next few days.
If it's still open when the CWS, then it gets a lot more interesting from several angles.
Vitelleaux hasn't been named as a serious candidate yet.

Coaches always announce that they are resigning and going to another school while finishing the season in the CWS. Even more do it after they win the CWS. It happens all the time.
