He said that or maybe it was every 5 star, I didn’t tape it, but it was on the Herd yesterday. I think he said “Every major recruit has a NIL agent flying them around to USC, Oregon, Ohio State etc to pick up and compare NIL offers.”
So now we have made street agents legal, this is going to turn out well.
This was not the purpose at all of NIL, but I don’t know how you put genie back in the bottle.
Maybe leave the NCAA for super conference, have enforcement deal with FBI and a salary cap? Hell If I know

Don't allow boosters to make NIL deals.
Which is basically what the rule is now, we just have to wait and see if there will be any real enforcement.

Student athletes can sign with an NIL agent. That NIL agent, however, can not represent that student athlete in future professional athletic contracts.

Yep. The state of Alabama has its best cycle of prospects in 20 years. These kids self admittedly grew up Alabama fans. But will still possibly leave home for the “better offer” unless Alabama matches. That’s where we are.

You don’t. The wealthy will win. Sucks to be poor.

They’ll probably just create entities to make NIL deals.
This stuff is being put together with attorneys. Not a guy carrying burlap sacks with $ signs on them.

Who else would be dumb enough to throw millions at kids for no other discernable reason than to win games?

Wait. We're not talking about McDonald's bags filled with cash? WTF?

You make it seem like they don’t get everything paid for with their families, including flights, on their 5 officials
You mean like they are in private jets type stuff with an agent?

A&M is in a $hitty spot. If they win a title in the next 3 years it will be yea, but…..
I can’t wait for jimbo to unleash his fury then and start berating some sportswriter and insulting sportswriters mother.

We win, let the accusations fly. I’m good with that

Win what? Teams have to be willing to and incentivized to play you. If you don’t establish some consensus and rules then the sport dies. With the NCAA now dead we’re riding on the fumes of a gentleman’s handshake. That won’t last. There is much better football product played on Sunday by professionals. College football fan’s loyalty is to the jersey, the state, and the university….not the player, and you better believe that can be lost if you move too far off what CFB is. America has already shown you they aren’t interested in a second pro league.

Let us tell you what a gentleman’s handshake is worth. Not much

Crazy
Who knew you had to fly and be in person. I thought there was this crazy thing called a phone that would allow them to talk with one another. Who knew!
