ESPN Top 50 Games of 2021

SIAP

This was a heartbreaking loss for Arkansas, shouldn't have thrown it on the 2-point play. Oh well, GG Ole Miss.

Agree. That defense would have parted like the red sea if we'd just continued to run it. One of Briles' learning moments early in the year. He learned his lesson and ran for 2 later on in the season. To no one's surprise, it worked.

Either the inside trap to Dominique, or the reverse option with Treylon pitching to Rocket like they did against Mizzou would have worked IMO

It was by far the best game I watched all season. I figured it would be in the top 5 minimum. The 4th quarter was insane. Just two baller QB's trying to will their teams to victory.

Yep. OM D was reeling and gassed. No reason to complicate things with such an elaborate passing play. Should have made them stop us instead of stopping ourselves.

Definitely the single worst call of the season, IMO.

I was there. Great game. Amazed at how lethargic the ole miss crowd was. Fayetteville would have been rocking.

Yep, if Arkansas would have just scored more, they would have won.

Typical maturity level of OM fans. Can't just talk about a good game even when they win.

Would have been an easy TD.

Really if Rocket didn’t fumble earlier in the game we would have won.

Other SEC games I would guess are on that list:

Iron Bowl
Bama/A/M
LSU/A/M
National Title Game
Auburn/Penn St
UT/Ole Miss maybe

You mind posting the list for those of us who don't subscribe to ESPN?

Great call to go for it. Terrible play call.

I think Briles did something like that in another game later in the season, too. I can’t remember the game, but it was also a headscratcher.

He had a few doozies against State. We had an absolutely atrocious playcall bailed out by a penalty in the 4th otherwise we don't win that game.

Going for two was correct. But it was the wrong play.

Nevermind, I misread OP

In rewatching the final play, I'd note the Pigs have several lineman downfield. One lineman is two yards in the endzone before the ball is thrown. At the time the ball is thrown, #62 is three yards deep in endzone.

Nevertheless, was the play a screen pass or something? Jeferson immediately rolled right once he got the snap and so did #0 (the runningback).

Don't forget Arkansas scored the game tying touchdown with 1 second on the clock. 2021 was another classic game in our rivalry.
