1) Miss State without its entire starting secondary
2) South Carolina without Mukuamu and Horn
3) Vanderbilt
4) Missouri

So we're taking a play out of UT's playbook and saving our weakest opponents for the end of the year so we finish on a high note

Clearly ESPN doesn't realize then that Miss State's entire starting secondary was missing

Was it really?

stats from one game against a sorely depleted D.

Out of curiosity...do injuries count, or do they not? because we keep getting mixed signals from people on the Rant.

can't speak for others, but my post was borne of an unrelenting desire, as a mathematician, to crusade against misuse and/or abuse of statistics.

There are 3 kinds of liars in this world:

1. Liar- sucks at it, can usually see through his shite.
2. Damn liar- good enough to make you believe his shite, at least some of the time
3. Statistician- uses the same set of numbers to tell people different things, depending on who’s paying him.

There's usually a reason that they don't keep records after one game.

https://www.espn.com/college-football/qbr

That's why he's not on their actual official list and Stetson Bennett is.

He had a great game against a completely destroyed Mississippi State Team.

https://www.si.com/college/mississippistate/football/msu-uga-roster-112020

They had fewer players than Division 2 teams playing, and we need to keep focused on just a few weeks ago you guys were talking about how Florida wasn't that good because you guys were missing a few key defenders (even though we were, too, for Missouri and still handled business) and that's why you couldn't keep it closer than 16 points.

I mean, he did great against Mississippi State's shell of a defense with guys playing positions they've never played before. They're not Georgia, they don't have 44 four stars and 16 five stars. Not every team has plug and play, and they certainly didn't.

Be happy that you have a guy that can throw downfield, but this ain't the flex you think it is.

Thank you for posting. Unfortunately, many people here assume there is always an agenda when stats are posted. Some of us just like stats.

Granted, the one start for JT is certainly misleading: but, the rest of the post is interesting.

One set of stats alone never tells the full story, but they still have their place.

sure they do.

one game is not enough of a sample size...........injuries or not.

Charlie Weatherbie beat saban in his own house with a Lousiana Monroe team. Is that enough to say Weatherbie > saban?

Posting a stat?

Why would I post Stetson’s stats? He isn’t gonna play anymore.

JTD looked good against State (who everyone else but LSU has come close to shutting out) but let's slow it down a bit.

I’ve never seen so many people melt over just posting a list. My goodness.
