I would have Fickell over Harbaugh, but otherwise can not really argue with this list.

No on Franklin and harbaugh. They won’t change their way of doing things. You can’t be a great coach if you continue to do the same thing year after year without changing to fit your roster .

Frankly, that’s my only worry about Kelly is that he may be married to the denbrock style offense and what he’s done most recently. If that doesn’t work as well with our future players will he go back to what he ran at Cincinnati or try something new? That’s my problem with jimbo as well.

Franklin has been there 8 years and has produced 1 or maybe 2 National Championship contenders. He’s not bad but he’s fairly overrated

I agree Glorious, but he still has to get some credit for actually being competitive at Vandy.

Not sure how you can justify this at this point. Since Day was hired, he has a better record, bowl record, more CFP appearances, has a runner up trophy, better recruiter. He’s been better than Kelly in every way.

The guy who plays in one of the weakest conferences around with zero competition the last decade and has had to rely on two cheatmode QBs to win anything is the 2nd best in the country?

Yeah ok.

Riley would have also done well at LSU, but no point in splitting hairs.

Not trying to be a dick, I just never paid much attention to ND.

Did Kelly evolve and adjust his offenses at ND in the many years he was there?

That’s a stretch. The guy has been a HC for what, 3 years?

Wasn't Franklin operating under sanctions when he took the PSU job?

He was successful a Vandy of all places, he's a solid coach.

I would have loved Riley, but looking back at it now I am happy with Kelly. LSU needed a kick in the arse and organization. Riley seems like he would have brought too much of the same "hollywood" style that Ed O brought.

The love for Franklin is puzzling.
