the top four was the exact same as what the committee gave us. So the idea that Bama got in because of SEC bias is BS.

To be fair its impossible to run old BCS numbers when most of the formula could be influenced by rankings that did not exist before

It is pretty apparent that the committee got it right.

True, they had to use the AP poll since the Harris poll is gone.

Except that people also accused the BCS of SEC bias.

Cool....lets go back to computers then...committee seems ridiculous. Top four in BCS system works fine let the numbers fall where they may

Of course they got it right. Bama is favored to win it all over the other 3 teams. If they are considered the best team why is there a debate?

I don't know why. They always seem to forget that an Auburn team was left out undefeated in 2004 and we had to watch USC destroy an over-rated Oklahoma.

I'm embarrassed by my fellow LSU brethren bitching about Bama getting in. It is what it is and Bama got in by default. We backed into our title in 2007 and have no room to talk about somebody slipping in.

It's just time to go to 8 teams. 5 P5 Champions and 3 at-large. Keep the same top 8 from this year and sub in UCF for Auburn and make them the 8 seed. You'd have this in the 1st round:

Clemson vs. UCF
OU vs. USC
UGA vs. Wisconsin
Bama vs. tOSU

Would've been a lot of fun to watch.

The problem with 2007 is LSU won the SEC and everyone else kept losing. Everyone had 2 losses except Kansas and Hawaii.

That and I just mean that just having the playoff rankings out there influences all the human polls that are factored in

While not earth shattering change it could in fact change the numbers

So its sort of impossible to reconcile the two systems perfectly

So, like I said, the committee is no different then the flawed BCS system they replaced.
