The best part about Tennessee is that no matter how fricked up our situation is, I feel they make us look stable.

I thought Dooley would have had UT back in contention for the SEC East by now.

Feel kinda bad for the Vols, they've had a historically competitive program, which has had some really good runs.

I think if Kiffin had stayed on they'd be winning a lot more.

I do recall A&M had a bad arse linebacker # 10 & a road grading tackle. I assumed the tackle was Bruce Matthew's kid

Wasn't Stewart fired because of offseason issues?

it's not a situation where a quality coach couldn't come in and win the East quickly.

Define "quickly"....also hiring a "quality" coach could be an issue unless UT decides to let the purse strings go because quality coaches are not forming a line to coach at UT and its the same situation Alabama found itself in a few years ago.

Everyone on UT's schedule needs to lay down for Dooley and company this year. At least if he finishes the regular season undefeated, UT will have no choice but to keep him a few more years, which will at least guarantee a few more years of success for rival teams.

Yep. UT would have enough top tier talent and better coaching. They would probably be the favorite to win the east this year.

Kiffin's only class was a dud of epic proportions. The Kiffin\Dooley class was solid. The next Dooley class was solid. I don't think you can definitively say one's recruiting is better than the other's.

You would benefit more from us being good than sucking. Then you wouldn't have to play Alabama in national championship games.

Kiffin's got 4 and 5 star players in 1.5 classes at USC. He would have done the same with Ogeron on staff at UT. Even if you don't buy the recruiting thing, I think he's proven to be a pretty good in game coach. He had y'all one FTC blocked FG away from beating a very fine Bama squad. Dooley's closest "almost" big win was the one at Tiger stadium, and it was Dooley out CLM'ing CLM in game management that lost that game for UT.
