Yikes!

It was almost universal that Sam Pittman was a D or F hire in 2019. These people are the same idiots that grade the NFL draft every year and are monumentally incorrect.

All I know is there’s only two coaches, at the moment, who have 5 consecutive seasons of ten wins or more. One is Nick Saban the other LSU just hired to be there HC. I fully expect coach Kelly to continue his streak of ten or more win seasons next year and beyond.

LSU plays USC in Vegas in 24. So I guess we’ll see

Looks about right. Napier will prove to be the better hire in the long run
Agree---and Riley, despite all USC's fanfare and
hype, is far from an A-plus hire but will find
the same soft landing in the PAC-12 as he had
with Oklahoma in the Big-12-minus two-soon-to-lose
two more-but-add-four-in-2025.

ESPN trying to be relevant

Pretty sure they ranked Heupel as the worst SEC hire last cycle and he ended up being the best (so far).
Here is my opinion after the season
1)Heupel
2)Beamer
3)Harsin
So the stupid arse rankings before the coaches even start with their new programs are just click bait
You got to wait 3 years or so! Not judge coaches in 1 year. I believe Drinkwitz is one of the better hire based on recruiting alone! No other former Mizzou HCs have recruitied as good as Drinkwitz is doing right now. Then when he gets them on the field after 2 or 3 recruiting classes. This year is his second one but the first one wasn't very good because it was a bad time and now it is looking much better this year and also getting good ones for next year. The key is which HC will be recruiting much better or at least recruit in the top 15 or so class yearly.

ESPN hates LSU and LOVES ND, what do you expect?

Kalen DeBoer might end up being a very sneaky good hire.
I read a bit about him after he was hired and his record at the lower levels was incredible.
He’s kind of unique in that most of his history is as a HC. Didn’t take the typical position coach, to coordinator, to HC route

Post this on the coaching changes board. I dare you!

I'm with LSU fans. If Kelly is a B several other guys need to drop to B. I certainly wouldn't grade Kelly an A but pretty ridiculous to grade him under some of these guys. All a bunch of BS either way. ESPN sucks!!

I've said it to you Mizzou fans 100 times and I'll say it again.. recruiting matters only if you have coaches that know what to do with it when they arrive on campus. Butch Jones and Cornbread Pruitt both signed multiple top 5-10 classes (way better than what Drink is doing right now) and look how bad it turned out for those 2 clowns? Results on field Heupel >>> Harry Potter Drinkwitz
We put up 28 points in the first quarter against you when our roster was not even full because of transfers. Harry Potter Drinkwitz got absolutely bent over in the first match up vs Heupel and will likely get bent over again next year in Neyland.

Recruiting always matters.
Can’t talk shite to Tennessee right now but a big reason we were so arse this year is because our last coach couldn’t do it worth a frick
We comin’ though

Dude... we lost 30 players to the portal. We had no one on the roster worth a damn left from the previous staff. Recruiting does matter - yes - but you have to be able to know what do with those players. Trust me.. us Tennessee fans know damn well because our last 2 coaches were elite recruiters bringing in top 5-10 classes every season and look how bad it turned out. Not saying Drink won't be successful, but for this argument on who was a better hire - results on the field is the main factor.

Well sure, but even with those losses you had significantly more blue chip players than we did in that game.
You are definitely right that you have to be able to recruit AND coach. Drink is an elite recruiter. One of the best in the country no doubt, but he still has a lot to prove in the other areas.
