I don't blame Orgeron, Saban does not go this far but many in the media today are bush league, especially the dozens of beat writers who are always trying to one-up the others 24x7.

He has since said media will be allowed i believe. They are still installing some offense and I think O wants to make sure the kids have it down first.

Makes sense. I remember when Bryant opened '71 with the wishbone vs USC in L.A., it was a total surprise to everyone in the media. Those pre season practices were closely guarded, but in those days the media guys were much more professional and reasonable with a HC's policies.

The media is completely full of itself and stupid as hell.

Programs should be able to do whatever the hell they please with their practices in regards to the media.

Teams are under no obligation to allow the media access to anything. Media getting access is a privilege, not a right.

The best line is the first one: "The whole purpose of practice is to let the media in to get different angles of what your doing"

I seriously turned it off right at that moment

Let the man run his program. No one would have been pissed if it were Saban in 2007.

Finebaum was on Sports Center & he chose this "news" to lead off the first of his 2 topics. Typical shite stirring clown. "A huge black eye for LSU". And ESPN's reporter ate it up.

Paul was bashing LSU and Coach O. This in no way furthers his agenda to uplift the gumps, 24/7.

Hell, I bet he didn't even get any Saban on his chin for this little hit piece.

Hey Paul, the purpose of practice is NOT to give the media a glimpse of what is going on. Dipshite!

This. I already never watch or listen to that dick with ears, but if it were possible to remove from my memory the one time I did in the past then I would.

He literally just spent 2 days on Sportcenter talking about Hand and Saban in a less than positive light.

Don't be dumb.

Finebaum is the National Enquirer of sports journalism.

It's a travesty that he's been given a bigger stage. His exposure has grown, not because of talent, but because of his idiotic callers. He's like a horrible accident that people can't look away from.

Phukkiin Finebaum. He said the purpose of practice is to let the reporters in so they can report to the fans(write their drivel). What a joke, practice is to prepare your football team, mentally and physically, to go out and play on Saturday and win ballgames.
Arrogant arse!

"2 days on Sports Center...". And he knows his bamanetwork show will get swamped with calls from his regular bama callers defending saban. And so he will get to talk about saban & bama even more. Being a bama pimp does not mean he's dumb. The biggest news in the SEC now is H.Freeze & the Blck Bears & Coach O keeping the media out of fall camp is what he leads off with?
