ESPN & SEC Network showing women’s hoops

Why am I paying a premium on my cable bill to get these networks when they show minor sports rather than spectator sports most people want to watch? The SEC Network, in particular, better figure this out or they will see a big drop in ratings and a corresponding big drop in fees paid to the conference

Bring back lawnmower racing. And figure 8 racing. Demolition derbys too. Those were the best days of sports. Americas Cup was good back in the day.

Agreed, it’s dreadful to watch and no one cares about women’s basketball. They also try to push the WNBA which is completely unwatchable

Chick ball has never been about ratings, or money. It’s a total subsidy. No one wants to watch layups and free throws and there’s never been any way to monetize it. Ever.
