Ed Orgeron went 6-2 in the SEC and lost once after September and beat the division champ

Is he turning his coaching ability around or was the SEC just that bad? A 6-2 SEC record is strong most seasons, winning 6/7 SEC games after the 0-1 SEC abortion start in Starkville. I promise Les Miles would have an extra loss somewhere either to Bert or McElwain last year. Bert owned Miles.

Also your daily reminder Auburn choked a 20-0 advantage to Ed Orgeron, two weeks after Troy happened.

This made it hard to tell. We'll see next year.

It’s easier to win at LSU than it is at Ole Miss.

The SEC was shite this year. There were only three good teams: Georgia, Auburn, and Alabama. Other than the Auburn win, that 6-2 record was inflated.

I mean LSU barely squeaked out a win against Florida. Embarrassing.

Coaches and players from LSU deserve a lot of credit for turning their season around. Undoubtedly this team played much better in November than in September. Tennessee, Arkansas, Ole Miss, a7m weren’t great but LSU dominated those games.

The SEC was not as bad overall as everyone makes it out to be. There are dumpster fires in every conference. LSU was and is a very talented team that was inconsistent under a first year head coach. First seasons are notoriously poor indicators of future success. We will know much more about Orgeron and his potential at LSU by this time next year.

The SEC had 3 elite teams this year Alabama, Auburn and Georgia. Middle of the pack was MSU and LSU. The rest was shite.

The SEC has been bad for at least 10 years now.

Orgeron exceeded my expectations for this first season. We were too young and too thin at the line of scrimmage on both sides of the ball to be real contenders this season. I believe most realistic LSU fans realized that. Not to mention we didn't have a legitimate qb in etling, who is serviceable, but that is about it. Next season will be a breath of fresh air with brennan at qb. We will be able to throw the ball, not because we have to keep defenses honest, but bc we have a real chance at having a good passing attack. Just wait until we finish out this class with 5 top notch players, and we will be ready to contend next season.

5 road games in the league is still hard. Florida was 3-0 in the SEC before us. We broke them.

Threads like this do nothing but highlight LSU acceptance of the situation that other fans see. LSU has 2 wins over teams that are in bowl games, one of those teams fired their coach.

By your logic then........Georgia doesn't have any good SEC wins? Georgia got pasted by the only good team they played all year.

Yeah.

He still did better than I expected, and he's smarter in recruiting than Miles was.

He could be okay.

And then we came back and pasted them.
