Each SEC school’s worst Group of 5 loss over the last decade

Preface: I understand the G5 term was first created around the 2013 season, but I think everyone understands what I mean. At least I hope so...

Now, I know fans of each school may have differing opinions, so let’s hear them.

I’ll kick the discussion off with my own list though. I’ve tiered them off into worst to... umm... not the worst, but still-not-very-good-losses.

So first, lets get the FCS losses out of the way:

2010 Ole Miss loss to Jacksonville St 48-49
2013 Florida Loss to Georgia Southern 20-26
2015 South Carolina loss to The Citadel 22-23

Next lets move to the bad G5 losses. I did this list based on G5 schools that finished with 6 or less wins on the year.

2008 Tennessee loss to 4-8 Wyoming 7-13 (only choice)
2008 Texas A&M loss to 6-6 Arkansas St 14-18 (only choice)
2014 Vanderbilt loss to 6-6 Temple 7-37 (Chose this one because of the point margin)
2016 Mississippi St loss to 6-7 South Alabama 20-21

Moving onto general losses to G5 schools

2009 Alabama loss to Utah 17-31 (Obviously Utah is no longer G5; the only choice)
2010 Georgia loss to UCF 6-10 (It was this or Boise St in 2011, who finished in the Top 10)
2012 Arkansas loss to UL-Monroe 31-34 (Toledo finished 10-2 in 2015 for those wondering)
2016 Missouri loss to Middle Tennessee 45-51
2016 Kentucky loss to Southern Miss 35-44
2017 LSU loss to Troy 21-24 (only choice)
2017 Auburn loss to UCF 27-34 (only choice)

Let me know what I missed, or if a different game was a far more embarrassing loss.
