Why is the board (lsu fans) obsessed with Dylan? This is the second thread on the first page about him.

That’s a loose application of the word obsessed

He's a Baton Rouge kid who has been mega hyped since the 8th grade and is now free falling.

A fair topic IMO.

It’s not like the reason for his free fall isn’t widely noted. It’s been 3 years since he was healthy, and he supposedly (according to him) chose to play the entire 2020 season with a torn meniscus. How many physicals do you think he passed?

It's weird, I don't think Dylan did anything crazy during his recruitment to earn dislikes from them. I feel like at this point some people are rooting against him because he left the state.

So the same Bama fans did with Tendon Watford?

The only question now is how will he respond going forward. Can the guy actually pass any teams medical examine even as a free agent? We'll see later tonight or Sunday.

It was probably his tape that did him in. Anyone with two eyes and an understanding of football could tell that he was just average. It's only his physical attributes that will entice someone to take a chance on him.

I know as a Bama fan it's heretical to say but, prior to the injury, he just wasn't a great LBer. Bad angles, slow reads, poor coverage and constantly out of position. Some guys are great athletes without being great football players. I would have drafted him Rounds 3-5 with a clean bill of health. Unfortunately, he suffered a knee injury that took away some of his greatest asset - premier athletic ability.

More like the 8th grade and when Clyde Edwards Helaire juked him at the football camps, he never was able to recover.

Will be interesting to see what happens to Ben Davis, and if he gets drafted after a year at Texas.

That would be quite the dichotomy.

We really haven't had an "alpha" at Linebacker in some time. Is that because the game has changed? Or something else? Who WAS the last Alpha? Even in "dark days" we had "alphas" like Demeco Ryans.

Rolo, Hightower, CJ Mosely earlier in the Saban era...who else?

Derrick Thomas, Cornelius Bennet in the 80s...

..seems like a dry spell.

Anybody who watched him play last year could tell he was a full step slower than before. It was sad to watch.

Moses is a world class pile jumper but not a very good linebacker
