I have to agree about Les Miles. If he didn’t make THE dumbest, he certainly made up for it with the number of dumb decisions he made. His body of work is impressive and he might be considered the GOAT for making f…tarded decisions

nick saban calling timeout in the 2013 iron bowl resulted in the greatest play in sports history

Think Les Miles...there were too many examples to ignore his abilities in this space.

That Justin Fields fake punt was pretty fricking stupid.

IIRC, that was the exact same call Georgia ran in the 2012 SECCG that went for a first down and Kirby figured out Alabama hadn't adjusted to it. It was there if the ball was snapped immediately but the egregiously dumb part was having Fields throw that ball because as soon as Alabama saw him back there on a punt, it was a dead damn giveaway. Had it been the normal punt protector, the play was probably going to work.

Richt's play call at the end of the 2001 Auburn game was as bad as any I've ever seen from Georgia. Calling a halfback dive play from just outside the 1 with :15ish left and no timeouts went exactly as you'd expect it would go.

Mike Shula putting an already injured Brodie Croyle in the 2003 Georgia game when it the game's outcome was no longer in question was the worst one I can ever remember from anyone. Croyle proceeded to get drilled by Thomas Davis coming untouched on a blitz that Croyle never saw coming, completely fricked his already injured shoulder, and missed the rest of the season. Shula should have been fired on the spot for that.

4th quarter 2018 SEC championship

Basically gave Hurts half the field to drive down for the winning TD

Georgia had to go for it there, IMO. Putting Fields in the game on a punt unit was retarded, but Georgia's defense was out of gas and not stopping anyone at that point. The only chance to win was to score on that drive.

Not running Tud Gurley from 4th and 1 inside the 5 at South Carolina is up there.

It was 1st and goal at the 4, and yeah I forgot about this one. That should have been four straight Gurley carries and you tip your hat to the defense if they keep him out of the end zone.

How about Sumlin Vs UCLA in 2017 with a true Freshman at QB, a RB who was killing the Bruins defense, so he decides to let the QB throw as many passes as possible? They didn’t call him Rumlin for nothin

Has to be Hallman ( not Archer) versus Auburn. Craziest thing I have ever witnessed.

The all time, runaway winner is Hudson "Curley" Hallman electing to throw on third down in 1994 at Auburn- after having already thrown two pick 6s in the 4th-- after scrambling back to take a 26-23 lead. It was so insane and stupid it was almost like Hallman threw the game it was so pathetic.
love that game. Was in the stands for that one

Mike Dubose; He called for a screen pass to Scissum. Dubose, all he had to do was call running plays kill the clock and punt it away

Saban's fake fg vs Clemson in 2018 title game. Everyone saw that coming and the line to go with the holder running was beyond idiotic.

Of course he executed an onside kick in the 2015 title game.

more than just in game... the biggest stupidity ever is Les Miles game plan for 1-9-12. LSU scored 6 points in regulation in the first meeting and just 9 including OT. For all intents and purposes LSU's Offense should have taken that game as an L and try to give Alabama different looks and concepts. Instead, they came out with the same plan and the little that worked Bama took away..

I know all time melt...still bothers me to this day.

The odd thing about Miles is that he would make stupid choices/decisions….and then sometimes get lucky as hell with the outcome.

Sometimes.

Players bailed his arse out a lot.

Alabama vs UCF ... The UCF coach was shocked that Bama stopped running the ball because UCf wasn't stopping it but 5 ints or so later UCf kicked the game winning FG
