quote:

“When Drew Lock came here my first impression having watched him at Missouri was he would put on a performance similar to what I saw a couple years back from (Texas Tech’s) Patrick Mahomes or (Wyoming’s) Josh Allen a year ago,” said Detillier, who publishes an annual NFL draft preview and does radio and print work in Louisiana. “He was a fireball thrower. Big guy, strong arm. He’s been, what a 57-percent completion guy in college? What’s stunning was watching him throw on Thursday he was in the groove and dead-on accurate. He was working with receivers he’s never played with before, guys from LSU, Tulane, Nicholls and Southeastern Louisiana — not throwing to his guys. I can’t remember another guy throwing the football as accurate as he did to guys he’s never worked with.”

quote:

“Drew really hummed it,” Detillier said. “He was just so accurate. I was really impressed with him. … He was popping it right smack dab in the hands of his receivers.”

The only QB close to Lock’s performance, Detillier said, was Georgia’s Jake Fromm. Others on hand included Washington’s Jake Browning, Alabama’s Jalen Hurts, Penn State’s Trace McSorley, Central Florida’s McKenzie Milton and Auburn’s Jared Stidham among others.

quote:

Detillier currently has Ohio State defensive end Nick Bosa and Houston defensive tackle Ed Oliver as the top-ranked prospects available in the 2019 draft but said he wouldn’t be surprised if Lock emerges as not only the top quarterback in the field but the No. 1 prospect overall.

I think we have all learned that the Manning Passing Academy means nothing. LSU had Joe Montana coming out of there every year according to Archie.

Hows yalls defense though? The better of your 2 WRs is gone. You have another Jmon on the bench?

Defense? We'll see. Don't think we have another JMon on the bench but we do have Emmanuel Hall, Albert Okwuegbunam and Johnathan Johnson

The Defense is not deep, but it will be middle of the pack SEC. we had 2 unexpected safeties transfer in. One a senior from Oregon and the other our starter who started to flash last year but we suspended and then BO shockingly reinstated him instead of booting him. Perhaps we are finally SEC.

We all know about Drew Lock and expect him to take his skills to the next level.

However he doesn't play defense does he? That could be Mizzous problem .

None of which was Drew Lock's fault. The guy plays with a bad team that can't stop anyone.

I can’t really have an opinion because I haven’t paid much attention to him/Missouri but if lives up to the hype Missouri might actually be a fun to to watch

I don't think Lock will be a Heisman finalist because it's become as much a team award as an individual one and Mizzou won't go 10-2 this year.

But he does have a great chance to go 1st overall next year's NFL Draft.

He has the kind of tools GMs have wet dreams over.
