Dr. Chao was NFL team orthopedist for Chargers for 15 years.

When he says “I am not being critical of the medical care” that means he actually is. It’s a shame Bama treats these kids like this

“Once again, to be clear, I am not being critical of the procedure. I am merely pointing out that this not the current norm in orthopedics, let alone with a high-level athlete. It certainly is not the norm in the NFL today.“

It’s why they bust. The Rec pumps them full of steroids and pain killers and then they wash out when everyone else is doing it in the nfl

I assume Dr. Lyle Cain performed this surgery. Dr. Cain is at Andrews Sports Medicine, who are renowned for their work with high profile athletes. So, I’m not going to doubt their work, skills, expertise, etc.

Yeah they said it last year too. I’ll trust doctors at UAB and the best sports medicine in the country over some guy that calls himself profootballdoc

Did you know that Birmingham is a world leader in sports medicine? It is where many high profile athletes
choose to get their surgery and medical care, and is a stone's throw from T-Town. I appreciate yours and Dr. Chao's opinion but Tua is in good hands.

Stop what? That is a doc that was Chargers doc for 15 years. Stay out of it if you can’t handle the truth

I wonder why Alabama has more players on NFL rosters than anyone else if they all suck so bad?

The procedure done last year and this year may have been done for insurance against future injury OR aggravation. There are doctors like Tua’s surgeon who are promoting this idea and, indeed, they may prove to be ahead of the curve.

Remember, Bama was the first team with a medical tent so they could shoot up players with injuries right on the sideline.

It’s a shame Saban is willing to risk this kid’s career

Now every team has medical tents on the sideline so they can shoot up players with injuries right on the sideline. It's a shame they're all risking kids careers.

Find it hard to believe that Bama isn't giving these kids best possible care.

Plus Tua can do his own thing.

Jeudy no concussion review seems like a miss though
