I don’t think it’s an issue of intelligence.
Maybe $75 million isn’t as big of a deal to TAMU as it is to other athletics departments?
That said, Arkansas will have no problem paying whomever it is they decide to target.

Allow me to use this analogy if you will.
Mathematically speaking they say Michael Bloomberg spending $100 million of his fifty something billion is the equivalent of the average middle class family making $80k a year spending $200.
Bloomberg is pissing that much away in three months.

And they are spreading it out over ten years.
So .... it's really not that much to A&M. Who knows, they may too be pissing it away, that's yet to be seen but truth is that it's really not that much to them even if they eventually decide to buy it out in his fifth or sixth year. Which they might, who knows.
In this economy with the size of their endowment they've already covered that $75 million in interest and dividends made and reinvested.
It's nothing to them.
