Move on from Mullen if he loses Saturday? He’s currently 0-2 against Smart, at UF, with neither game being particularly close. If he can’t beat UGA this year while they have a 4th string walk on at QB and a depleted defense, when will he be able to do it?

Does UGA fire Kirby at seasons end?

All that talent and can’t beat Daddy Nick or hoist a title

Kirby had UGA’s best season in 40 years, so he’s produced some results. This year Mullen will have advantages he likely won’t have again. Does your perception of Mullen change if he loses this game? I would think at the very least Grantham would be let go, which is something I’d imagine UF fans would be happy with.

Mullen won 10 his first season, 11 last year. Team won how many games before he was hired? So again, asking if UF will fire him because of the Georgia game is exactly like asking if Kirby would be fired for not beating Nick.

This is the first year we’ve had a solid OL and it’s showing, yes if he loses this AND next yrs game it would be disappointing.

I wasn’t sold on the hire, but I can’t deny what he’s done with what he inherited when he was hired.
He’s a solid HC, not like there are any homerun guys available and I’ve never been one to call for change just to have change when he’s doing dbl digit wins

So no perception change if he loses? I would assume you’d agree with me if I said Mullen likely won’t face a worse QB at UGA. Injuries are hit or miss and this year multiple starters will be out for UGA. Just seems like this game has a “if not now then when” feel to it.

Not really, Georgia’s never had a QB who put fear into anyone, plus Kirby is conservative by nature so he’ll never have it. Dawgs win by beating us in the trenches, if that doesn’t change it’s a concern.

I give any HC min 3 years as long as there’s an upward arc

Not after only three seasons given the rest of his success.

Besides, doesn't it take 15 years of mostly 10-or-more win seasons without winning a natty and going 5-10 against a rival to really make those calls?

Fair enough. I just think UF fans would want change if Grantham struggles on third down again. Imo he is what’s holding UF back. As for the perception change, I think it could start moving if Mullen has another low scoring outing vs Smart. Mullen is known as an offensive mind, but hasn’t scored more than 17 against Smart. With multiple starters out on defense this should be the year he does it, especially with Trask and Pitts.

That’s another factor of it. UF is much quicker to pull the plug on good but not great seasons, while UGA sat with Richt for a while.

This whole “fire every coach ever” talk is getting boring

Just stating facts. Mullen will likely have advantages this game against UGA he won’t have again. Will it change your perception of him if he doesn’t capitalize on these advantages?

What perception do you think I have? I think Mullen is a good coach. I’m not sure he can win a title. That won’t change with a loss Saturday. It may change with a win.

I assume most UF fans consider Mullen a great offensive minded coach, so that is the perception I would guess you have.

Yeah he is a great offensive coach. That doesn’t mean he’s a championship coach. I don’t think he is, but we will see.

Georgia fans say Mullen sucks, but want him gone so bad. You are stuck with Lord Mullen for some time.

I think he could be. Barring some generational talent at QB he probably needs the right DC like Smart needs the right OC, but you’re probably better off missing the DC instead of OC in today’s CFB, unless you’re Oklahoma I guess.

I dont want him gone.

Florida is a school full of vaginas and you turn on your head coach like a cheap hooker turning tricks.
I expect you to want him gone very quickly.

Gators were high on Muschamp until they weren't.
Gators were high on McElwain until they werent.
MuLLLen wont be any different.
He's killing your team talent with high school recruiting. Who the hell accomplishes that while at Florida?
