Does Tennessee make it in if they don’t lose to South Carolina?

Assume Southern Cal and TCU both win, does 11-1 Tennessee get left out?

Doesn’t matter cause lmao 63-38, but it’s interesting to think about

They'd need tcu or southern cal to lose to even have a shot.

If USCw and TCU win, then SCAR game or not, VOLS wouldn’t be in the CFP.

I don't think they'd get in over 11-1 USC with a conference title.

If USC lost on Saturday they'd absolutely get in over Ohio State, though.

Yes.

A one loss USC/Pac 12 champ and undefeated Big 12 champ are in over all other non-conference winners no matter who they are.

They'd be #5 and next team in if either of the above or even UM don't win on Saturday

No I don’t think we do. I always thought the PAC 12 couldn’t have a one loss champ or we’d get left out

Yes which is about the only thing that somehow makes that arse beating last weekend hurt a little less.

USC was the only 1 loss team that would’ve got in before a 1 loss VOLS imo

If Vandy had won all their games they’d be in the playoffs

This.

There's a real problem this year with suck schedules - not just UM, OSU or TCU. Teams are being rewarded for playing no one and penalized for playing tough competition week in and out.

One of the reasons I'm coming around to the idea of 12 is because the playoff committee can't seem to keep to their own metrics from one year to the next and they keep rewarding teams for doing nothing - Cincy last year and TCU this year are absolute jokes (UM at least has a good win over tOSU but tOSU has nothing but brand). If SoS doesn't matter then teams in the SEC need to play 4 conference games ONLY and schedule a bunch of shitty cellar dwellers from other conferences.

Dunno but one thing if for sure. No team that loses to SCU has ever won any sort of championship
