Does State baseball make a regional?

Currently 12-15 in the SEC with an RPI of 35. Some really good wins and some bad losses. They host Florida to end the season. They probably have to avoid a sweep to have a chance, but here is a look at teams since 2010 who finished with 12 - 15 SEC wins.
Winning 2 of 3 against Florida would put State's RPI in the mid 20s, Winning 1 would put them in the 30-33 range heading into the SEC Tournament.

If they Win 2 out of 3 and win a game in the tournament to get to double elimination then you guys deserve to be in.

It's amazing we are even in the discussion after 2/3 season start. However, those 6 true freshmen in our batting order have gotten so much better over the past few weeks and we started winning games. We might need to steal one from Florida but even if we don't , we have a good chance. Who would have thunk it.

Based on the softball brackets, I think the SEC baseball gets 11 teams in this year assuming MSU, LSU, Vandy and USCe win some more games.

State is on the outside looking in. They have botched a handful of SEC games in late innings that they certainly wish they could re-do.
I think if they take 2 of 3 vs Florida, they'll be a #3 seed somewhere.
If they get swept or win just one, they'll need to do some damage in Hoover.

Nope.We are going to get swept by uf,leaving us at 12-18.

Good thing for MSU is maybe you catch Fla taking it easy this weekend. They really don't have anything to play for and you may see them rest some guys one of the games.

I think we have to win 2 of the games this coming weekend to get in as a 3 seed. We really needed 2 wins over UK. 2 wins over the #1 team would really help the RPI. Regardless, given the shape we were in after being swept by USM, losing our coach and later getting swept by Vandy to open SEC play, I'm proud of the team for at least getting in the NCAA conversation. It was looking like a 5 to 6 win SEC season in mid-March.
