I understood that if they win because of the computer love that OSU will just need about 25% of the voters to put them ahead of bama.
That is true only if every other vote they get is a third place vote. Considering they are currently behind Stanford and VT in votes, no way they get the necessary jump.

Brad Edwards said last nite if VT won sat. it would be nearly impossible for OSU to get in.
at this point, it has zero to do with wins and losses. VT can win, OSU could lose, and the voters could vote like this to keep Bama out:
1. LSU
2. VT
3. Stanford
4. Boise State
5. Houston
6. Bama
None of us have any idea what the voters will do. If they want Bama in, they are in. If they want Bama out, they are out.
There is literally no person on earth that can predict what will happen. BCS Guru or not, he has no idea what he's talking about.

You are also assuming that no one puts Bama any lower than 3. If OSU wins, I could see more than a few voters putting Bama below LSU, OSU, and Stanford just to prevent a rematch. IF OSU wins, this will happen in at least someone's poll. And, I'd be shocked if it didn't happen in a few.

The big argument seems to be about who had the better loss. Really? How about who has the better wins? Okie State has beaten eight winning teams, Bama has beat three. Also OSU didn’t schedule an FCS team like Bama (and lots of other teams) did.
Sure, losing to LSU looks a lot better than losing to Iowa State. But if OSU beat Oklahoma, Texas, KSU,Mizzou, Baylor etc, who has Bama beaten that is better? Arkansas and uh...PSU...
Look, I think Bama is prolly second best, but I can't prove it by just looking at both teams body of work. LSU's body of work speaks for itself. But I do not think Bama deserve's it more IF OSU beats Oklahoma. Besides, it is grossly unfair to LSU, which went on the road to Dallas, Morgantown and Tuscaloosa and won at all three.

Nobody understands the BCS like Brad Edwards does.

By Gump logic the best thing to do is to lose in OT at home. Better than any win.

Does OSU just need to win?
No. They would have to absolutely skullfrick them.
And their D would have to show improvment
