Gotta admit, I did not see the "Playing for LSU is not that big a deal anyway, I can see why he wouldn't want to do it" defense coming. That's a bold and unorthodox strategy.

The sad part is how hard the fanbase defends players who are quitting on them. That sends the message that quitting is ok. This is one of those rare instances where I think the fans are actually part of the problem.
