This is a team that has good plate discipline and gets a lot of walks but their hitting doesn’t blow your socks off. I’m cautiously optimistic. Taking a series against OM would be phenomenal and a huge confidence boost for this ball club. Don’t know if they’re good enough to get it done but I like Bohanon using what he has to win games and not forcing these guys to try to win games with something they can’t do. It’s not the 90s Alabama baseball team but they’re winning.

Bama has 18 winning seasons out of the past 19. Problem is we're 18-15 every year and the Bubble Team phrase was named after Bama.

Your 4 hole hitter Gentry is a really good ball player and a great kid, my son played showcase ball with him during HS. Should have been with UA last year, but prior coach oversigned and his schollie was pulled last minute...surprised he stuck with yall
your Sunday starter at the beginning of the year, Shamblin, played at the same HS as my son and same summer program with Gentry...had a State offer...but grew up a big bama fan..was committed to State for a few weeks..but decided he couldn't turn down his favorite school even though State's program is much better
Y'all will be better with those two

What's funny is you said back to the middle of the pack as a sort of negative.......
.......I'd be ecstatic with that.

LOL my point was we've been so bad I'd be happy finishing in the middle of the pack. It's been a long ugly 2 years man hahaha

Back in the day I knew and was a few years in high school behind Casey Lambert who played at Alabama. Good guy and enjoyed watching him play at BAMA

Oh yeah, Casey was a damn good ball player

Yeah he was and a few years back, Mikey White was too. Always wanted to take a road trip to watch LSU and Bama play in baseball at BAMA. Nice stadium.

I look for them to be much improved. Let’s face it, mid-pack SEC is pretty good baseball.

Mikey was a very solid player. He finished in AA last year I think?
It's a nice stadium now, fun place to see a game. It used to be a dump before the tear down, though.

We could be substantially better and still go 13-17 and finish 11th in the conference.
The only 2 teams I feel relatively sure we are better than right now are Kentucky and Missouri, and not by much.

Hell yeah it is. Guys say football in SEC is competitive, geez football ain’t got nothing on SEC baseball in terms of competitiveness. Damn they are all freaking good.
