IMO Arky can play with anyone as long as the defense stays solid. I would be shocked if they don't make it to Omaha with their draw. If I was a fan I'd be highly disappointed.

I agree. We stumbled early in the season and our record reflects that. As of late we've been a much more solid team. Our bats just happened to go cold at the end of the year like they seem to do every year. We don't have to knock the cover off the ball, we just have to have a few timely hits in every game. We made a living off of 1-0, 2-1 games in last year's run. I see no reason why we can't do that this year with a statistically better pitching staff.

That's what I meant by Arkansas being the best team of the 8 in our bracket. I would be in utter shock if Kansas State beat us. Oregon State will give us more trouble because they play our style of ball, but we've shown all year that our pitching will shut down an offensive team like Kansas State.

I would like to point out that it was not I who said we were the greatest team in the country. It was one of your own ilk.

Serious non-troll question. Did we commit any errors in the second game against LSU? I don't remember us doing so if we did. Our D was pretty solid in the tourney with the exception of the full-retard moment in the first LSU game.

Fielding is only part of the game if Arkansas succeeds at it. As it stands, unimportant and reliance on earned runs.

Thinking back, most of our errors aren't really on the fielding aspect. Most of them are horrid throws and full retard decisions of where to actually throw the ball. (Like trying to get the out at 2nd instead of 1st vs. LSU). Our outfield doesn't have much issue in the defensive area. I'd actually say they're pretty above average in that aspect, but lately, we're not hitting the ball well enough to give our defense any room to breathe as far as execution. If we start hitting better, our defense won't have to play to perfection in order for us to win.

We have spurts of hitting voids as well. Particularly with Jacoby on the bench with the hand injury.

He's been a beast for two years. He has insane control over multiple pitches and keeps everyone off balance.
