Does anyone else wish the Las Vegas Bowl was an SEC bowl?

It’d be awesome for a PAC-12 vs SEC set up.

Why? If you mean it provides an excuse to travel to Vegas, well, you don't need an excuse and you probably don't need to be paying for a ticket and parking when you're in a place that can drain your account in nothing flat.

Personally, I've never had any interest in Vegas, but that's just a personality thing. Lots of people who aren't me really seem to enjoy it, so I do get that it would be an attractive destination. But people don't need a minor bowl as an excuse to go. Just roofie your buddies and take it from there.

I'd go out there for sure.

Well, maybe your team will go to the Lump of Coal Bowl in Gary, Indiana.

Don't be a bitch. I acknowledged that it's obviously a fun place and it's just me personally that doesn't really feel the attraction. I wasn't attacking your daydreams.

Who needs to fly out West for the Strippers and Blow bowl when you have Tampa?

And with the new stadium too once that all comes together.

With the increasing price of college sports tickets and all that goes with that, if I’m going to spend a chunk of change for anything below your traditionally higher quality bowls then I want to be in a city worth my while too.

Well, no. But I also don’t need the Music City Bowl to check out Nashville either. But having a fun city makes it a hell of a lot more fun to attend beyond just gameday.

I’d take the Las Vegas Bowl in Vegas over a trip to Shreveport, Birmingham, etc. Especially if I’m making a “trip” of it.

Gave you an upvote. Cheap flights, can get cheap hotels if conventions aren’t going on. Add that well beyond gambling/clubs and scenery there is a lot of free & cheap activities as well as Hoover Dam & Grand Canyon within driving distance. Having a bowl there would be the cherry.

As an Alabama fan it wouldn't affect me either way.

Personally, I’d love for the SEC to drop one of the 3 Florida bowl tie-ins (preferably Gator) and add a Vegas Bowl matchup vs a PAC12 team... we can afford to drop one of the BIG tie-ins.

Travel to Vegas is relatively easy and affordable... you can get a direct flight from pretty much anywhere in the southeast.

I wish there were a Lump of Coal Bowl. It has a nice ring to it. I'd go just to be able to tell people I had been to the Lump of Coal Bowl.

Nah... I want to see an SEC partnership with the Bahamas bowl.
