Does a 6-4/7-3 record get pitboss COTY?

Given the context of his arrival, is that a fair threshold, or do you believe the bar should be much higher? Similar to what Gus did at Auburn in 2013?

7-3 would require them to beat A&M and Florida but the rest of the schedule in and around those 2 is pretty easy (outside Alabama) so I mean...it’s kind of possible I guess?

Hell 7-5 would have gotten him coach of the year in a normal year considering where they were. So absolutely if he gets to 6-4 or 7-3.

Spurrier got one in his first season for going 7-4.

I’d give it to him if he finishes 4-6.

COTY is guaranteed with a winning SEC record. It might not even take that much given that one win was stolen by officials.

I would say 4-6 puts him the running.

It’s already his if you ask me. Anyone denying the change at Arkansas with very little talent is lying to themselves or trolling.

If we can beat Tenn, Mizzou, and Lsu, that's 5-5 right there, 6-5 if we win our bowl game.

COTY for sure. When we beat A&M next week, we could finish 6-4, and then 7-4 after the bowl game. Build the man a statue.

He'll win it. Once Briles gets that offense going they will be even more dangerous.

I’d have said 2 wins is a stretch preseason. However we are there (should be 3) and I don’t think we can be counted out of any future game other than Bama. 5 wins would be great and should get Pittman the COTY nationally

5 wins or more should get it considering it’s an all SEC schedule. 5 SEC wins in a normal year with OOC games is 8-4/9-3

Given what he has to work with, 4 wins should put him in contention. That team has no business winning 4 SEC games based on talent.

Does that include the "win" or not?

Absolutely. Playing an all SEC schedule with no cupcakes from a lower tier?

Not if Nicky leads Bama to a 11-0 slate SEC Champions & to the final 4 of the CFP'S.

11-0 SEC slate never been done before and might not ever again....
