Who was the only professional athlete to have his number retired while he was still an active player?
Gehrig?
I feel like I’ve seen before he had his retired during his speech

Harold Baines's number was retired by the White Sox when he was traded to Texas. It was subsequently unretired when he returned to the White Sox.
